Tony has been working in the Film and TV production business since 1980, following his father who was a 'freelance spark' who worked lighting many a film set in the 60's and 70's. Tony also worked alongside his sister who was a senior film camera hire executive working for companies like Panavision and Take 2 which made it a real family affair.
Tony began his career at 16 as an apprentice toolmaker at Joe Dunton Camera's making and repairing small parts for 35mm camera equipment, he then moved to the transport department dealing with the challenging logistics of delivering and collecting camera equipment to and from film and production set's, driving tracking cars and managing camera car's and their contents.
After a brief spell of self-employment as a freelance 'Clapper Loader' Tony returned to the camera hire industry with Panavision who had by this time had 'incorporated' Joe Dunton Camera's under their umbrella. Working firstly on the camera floor maintaining, servicing, repairing and preparing camera's and related equipment for use on film and TV productions Tony gained invaluable knowledge which enabled him to then take on the role of 'head' of the hire office at Panavision, managing a team of dedicated staff who took and processed all requests and enquires for camera equipment for this major international camera hire company.
In 2006 after being head hunted by all the major companies in the camera equipment industry, Tony joined Arri Media where he was a senior client contact for film and production companies alike, advising and recommending the best equipment for each shoot individually and cemented his reputation for being one of the most experienced people in his field in the industry.
In 2007 Tony took the brave decision to launch his own specialist business hiring American RV Winnebago's to the film and TV industry. Un-rivalled in his field Tony is the only owner operator who offer's the guarantee that if you hire his Winnebago you get him and his exemplary service.
